With the Wheatsheaf celebrating it’s 400th anniversary in 2011 we tried to think of something special to commemorate this occasion.
Over all the 400 years, although times, trends and lifestyles have changed dramatically, one thing has remained the same, and that’s the community spirit that has kept this little pub, in the middle of the Wirral countryside, going for all this time. So the idea came about of the Wheatsheaf giving something back to the community that has served it so well for four centuries , therefore we are delighted to announce that we are launching the Wheatsheaf’s very own charity called “Wheatsheaf 400 Foundation”.
The aim is to raise money and awareness for local causes by using the pub and Restaurant as it’s tool to do so. Whether that’s by donating into our collection boxes, attending one of our fund raising events or simply enjoying a pint of our “400 NOT OUT” bitter over the bar. Award winning Brewer, Neil Young from Brimstage Brewery will be producing this for us to help launch our celebrations and 20pence of every pint sold will go to the foundation. So hopefully whilst enjoying yourself you will also be helping us help the less fortunate in our community.
